In abundance and the bastards gave the world Starbucks...we did walk past the original shop and I was tempted to piss on the door as a mark of respect.
They let us back into the US yesterday after 2 hours at the border crossing and I was taken into a back room to dictate a long sworn statement about how we are travelling and where we live. Not sure exactly what they thought the problem was, but after that was kicked upstairs to management they let us in a few minutes later after no more questions or fuss, so we are good for the next 6 months and they didn't say we can't continue to travel like this in future, so I guess we just stuck to the plan and go with the flow.
Badger seems to have survived the winter with no obvious leaks or critters taking up residence . The tarpaulin we covered him with blew off after a few weeks, and it turns out it was the eyelets tore out of the fabric rather than my crap knots, so it really wasn't my fault. I guess I'll have to reinforce the tarp edges sometime before next winter if we want to use it again...one day when I've nothing better to do and a 20 x 40 working space to hand.
Walking round pike place market today, just had the 4 bowl sampler at the famous chowder place for lunch, and we've found a really nice butchers stall so we'll have to stop by after the cruise to restock the freezer ready to hit the road. We'll wander up to the space needle later on as the skies are clearing and the sun is out again, then tomorrow we get on the big boat ...
