Necessity is the mother of invention

We'd  been wine tasting in the Napa Valley (or should I say I'd been tasting and Mark was sniffing/sipping/spittimg as he was driving ) and I was feeling a little left out as he got stuck into the one bottle he's allowed when we get back. So I opened a bottle of bubbles. After my second glass I decided I needed an ice bucket because it was such a walk to the fridge from outside :-)

My large soup pan made an excellent ice bucket.
By the way, here is the (large 1.5L) and very, very nice bottle of Zinfandel that Mark chose.

Once I finish my bubbles, and if I'm a good girl, I might get a glass of red to go with the cheese 😊

  1. Hey Mark and Maria!!
Are we getting close to ski season? We must be as you are heading north, closer to the border. I hope all is well with you guys. I've been meaning to check in for some time. I am very excited for a much snowier winter this time around. Anna and I are doing well. We have some good and not so good news. We're very excited as we await our first grandchild. My daughter is due the end of January. That's the not so great part unfortunately. I am arriving Jan 5th but Anna likely won't come now until March, as she is in total grandma mode. I keep reminding her of how beautiful everything is at Whistler and mention that hot tub every other day, just to tempt her to consider coming sooner. We'll see. I imagine you are both fully enjoying wine country. I certainly look forward to seeing you both again. Enjoy the beautiful fall weather and happy trails until we meet again!
