Having seen what klondike miners had to pack into the goldmines for winter, we thought we would do a Costco run to Vancouver and do the same:
- 6.3kg rib eye,
- two legs of lamb,
- 5.5kg minced beef
- 2.5kg minced pork
- 2.6kg stewing beef
- 2.3kg beef roasts
- 2.7kg pork roast
- whole ham
- 3kg pork loin
- 3kg sausages
- 6kg chicken
- 5kg cheddar
- 12 jars Pataks curry sauce
and 72 rolls of toilet paper....might not be enough
and the first person to quote the WHO report on red meat and cancer is going to get a slap.
You forgot the beer :(
ReplyDelete5kg of cheddaar, what on earth do you do with all that in the month before it goes green.
BC, like most of Canada, is quite restrictive on alcohol sales and you can't buy it in supermarkets. We;re in the process of ordering another couple of cases of mixed red from our favourite winery over in Niagara (early this year so it can't freeze during shipping) and we can get local BC wines OK in the local government liquor store which fixes all the prices anyway - no cheaper in the city than whistler :-(
ReplyDeleteCheese is in multiple packs and is good until next august...but we've not been able to find any reblochon yet
Damn, that all made sense. The only problem is that I want a tartiflette now :)
DeleteLast time I had a trolley full of toilet rolls I was asked if I was planning to have a party by another long-term resident who clearly liked the quiet life and knew the shopping habits of wild party animals.
