After a couple of fleeting visits back to Spain and the UK we are on the road in Campalot again for 6-7 weeks to limit our tax liabilities in Spain when we sell London. Initial ideas to meet Gary and John In Italy faltered as we decided it was too big a trip for the time we had available and they decided not to go there this year, so we are back in France.
We came down from 5 days in Andorra this morning and will be around Carcassonne for a few days, having picked up a couple of Corbieres on our way, then going to meet Philip Harrison in Sancerre next week to then work our way though the white wineries of the Loire valley and see the WW2 german submarine pens at St Nazaire. After that we will work our way back down the Atlantic biscay coast and the red wineries around Bordeaux......i love drinking with a plan.
Depending on the weather we may try to spend the whole 6 weeks in France, or we may do a dash through northern Spain and spend the later weeks in Portugal.....with wine and Port of course.
